One of the world’s oldest mountain ranges, the Blue Ridge Mountains boast awe-inspiring backdrops and sweet ceremony sites. Mountain weddings can take place any day of the week. The latest a wedding can start is an hour before sunset, which varies seasonally. You and your guests are welcome to stay at mountain venues during normal operating hours, keeping in mind that parks are also open to the public so there may also be hikers and sightseers outside your party.

Because of the nature of the local mountains, different mountain locations are appropriate for different expected guest count. If you have a larger guest count (a maximum of 30 for all of Elope Asheville’s weddings), be aware that your options may be limited. 

Many mountain locations ask that events obtain permits. While we are often not allowed to obtain permits on your behalf, we are more than happy to provide a detailed how-to on any location to make the process super easy. 

We do not ask to see your permit nor do we require that you obtain one to retain our services.

All Mountain packages are for 10 total guests (including the couple). Up to 20 additional guests may be added for $15/person.
